Using Touch To Share On The Sony Xperia S

TouchToShare

The Sony Xperia S not only has a myriad of camera options to be playing about with, it also has some cool sharing functionality going on too, most notably in the form of Touch To Share. What this does is let you magically ping files, photos, MP3s, Web Pages and pretty much anything else, to another Xperia S or ICS device. Here’s how…

  • Make sure you have NFC turned on by going into settings and checking the NFC box.
  • Open up whatever it is that you want to share – so if it’s a photo, open the gallery and select the picture.
  • Hold your phone against another NFC Xperia S or ICS device and the file transfer will automatically start (you’ll feel a vibration when it all kicks off).
  • Once the process bar is full, the transfer is done and the file will have magically jumped to the other device.
