The Samsung Galaxy Note III will feature a 5.9-inch display, according to Asian news source, The Korea Times.
This goes against previous reports from the Korean website that the rumoured phablet from the Sammy guys would sport a whopping 6.3-inch screen.
Action-SPEC-tacular
Conflicting reports have emerged about whether the display will be OLED, AMOLED, or super AMOLED screen similar to the one that features on the Galaxy S III.
There is also speculation that the Galaxy Note III will include Samsung’s very own Exynos 5 octa-core chipset, which features a whopping eight cores.
Size matters
A 5.9-inch display seems a little more plausible than a 6.3-inch screen, because anything over 6-inches seems to edge a little too far in tablet territory and would be difficult to hold with one hand. Unless it’s being marketed to giants.
The original Galaxy Note phablet boasted a 5.3-inch display, and the Galaxy Note II then followed with its 5.5-inch display.
There has been no official word from Samsung about the Galaxy Note III as of yet, but we might get some news at the Unpacked launch of the next Galaxy S device that is happening next week.
So, if you’re a fan of phablets and you have your eye on the next Sammy stylus crusader, stay tuned and we’ll keep you in the loop on this one.
