Further specifications reportedly belonging to the Motorola X Phone have leaked online, with the details pointing to a decidedly more mid-range device than previously expected.
Despite the handset being talked up as a monstrous powerhouse, Twitter info aficionados @evleaks have suggested a much more modest set of capabilities. These include:
Should these prove accurate, and the @evleaks chaps have a history of being accurate, it’s a far cry from the massive flagship offering many had predicted and indeed expected.
Both Google and Motorola officials have bigged-up the device’s capabilities in recent months, with early speculation pointing to a more powerful 1.7GHz quad-core processor and a full HD OLED display.
Whilst these features can’t be totally ruled out yet, the presence of much more modest capabilities would put the Motorola X Phone in competition with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini rather than its bigger brother as first expected.
Having last month confirmed the device for October, there is still plenty of time for Motorola to assure us to the contrary. With sensors, which will reportedly detect when the handset is in your pocket, and a hard-wearing nature already mentioned, there could be more to the finished product than just some mid-range specifications.
But for now, as always, it’s a case of waiting for some concrete news, and with more leaks extremely likely between now and October, more information on the subject won’t be far off.
