We’ve seen a number of devices with ambitious displays recently, but new rumours are suggesting the LG Optimus G2 could beat them all with the first full HD screen over 5-inches.
The news was first picked up by Greek site TechBlog and speculates that the upcoming handset will boast a 5.2-inch full HD LCD display with 423 ppi, making it one of the largest 1080p offering so far. Reports also suggest the screen’s outer bezel will be minimal and thus near edge-to-edge, another big plus for potential buyers.
There is also talk of a 13 megapixel camera from the tech site, giving the device a powerful multimedia edge as well as that potentially show stopping screen. As all of these rumours are as yet unconfirmed we’re not getting too excited, but it looks good on paper at least.
LG’s latest device had been seen as a bit of an ‘also-ran’ until as flurry of leaks caught the attention of several tech sites. As well as the Greek reveals, notorious tipsters @evleaks posted images that suggested the volume controls may be on the back of the device giving it a design quirk.
There’s also speculation that the device will use always-on voice commands, but as with the rest of it, this hasn’t been confirmed yet. Concrete details are few and far between, with the Korean company as yet only pointing to a Qualcomm processor as the real deal.
