iPhone 4S Tips ‘N’ Tricks: Text Message Shortcuts
Sending texts can be pretty boring and time consuming, especially if predictive text keeps changing your words. To make text typing speedier, you can create your own customised shortcuts for words or phrases you use a lot. Here’s how:
- Simply go to Settings, select General, and then choose Keyboard.
- At the bottom of this screen is a Shortcuts section, from here choose Add New Shortcut.
- Type in a word or phrase that you’d like to trigger a longer word (for example, you can set it so that when you type OMG, the phrase ‘Oh my God’ is typed out).
- Click Save.
- You can now use your shortcut when texting.
