Images of LG’s new F Series of smartphones have appeared online courtesy of the notoriously leaky Twitter account @evleaks.
The two devices are called the LG Optimus F7 and Optimus F5, and little is known about the specifications of either handset at present.
F Factor
What we can deduce from the leaked images is that the Optimus L7 looks a little bit like the lovechild of the Optimus 4X HD and the Optimus G.
LG has said that the F Series is going to all about freedom (hence the ‘F’ prefix), but the manufacturer hasn’t explained exactly what this entails or how it will manifest itself on the devices.
LG teaser video
LG has also released a teaser video ahead of its launch event at Mobile World Congress 2013, and the video is all about the letters L, F, V and G, although sadly doesn’t take any cues from Sesame Street.
The letters are explained further in the clip – L stands for style, F is for freedom, V for view, and G means greatness.
We already know of the G Series handset (the Optimus G Pro) and the L Series devices (Optimus L3 II, L5 II and L7 II) so now it’s just the F Series and V Series to be unveiled.
No doubt we’ll all be laden with LG info after the firm’s launch event on 25 Febraury at Mobile World Congress though, so sit tight and all will be revealed in due course.
