HTC One X Gets Jelly Bean 4.2

HTC One X Jelly Bean

HTC One X+ and HTC One S handsets also set for update

The HTC One X is now eligible for the latest version of Android Jelly Bean, with most users able to upgrade their software as of now, according to the Taiwanese manufacturer.

Having previously been stuck on Android 4.1, the former flagship is now fully 4.2 enabled and can move up the Jelly Bean ladder..

Joining the One X will be the One X+ and One S, with the update roll-out set to be completed before the end of Summer 2013.

Update expected soon

Once updated, the trio will be slightly better off than brand new flagship the HTC One, as the shiny Android behemoth only launched with version 4.1. Although no word has arrived as to when, or even if, the handset will get the bump up, news either way is to be expected fairly soon.

That said, before the party poppers and celebratory banners come out, it is likely these updates will be compensation for the eventual lack of Android Key Lime Pie, with all three handsets expected to miss out on the latest slice upon its release.

With little to no information currently available about Key Lime Pie, Google is expected to announce and demo its latest software at its I/O event in May.
